New traffic cameras have at least 1 fan

I have read letters complaining about the newly installed traffic cameras. One writer in Thursday's Gazette said he did not feel safe anymore in Cedar Rapids. The way I see it, the cameras have improved the safety of all who drive there. There will be less running of red lights, leading to fewer accidents. People will drive slower on I-380, leading to fewer accidents. I applaud the city for looking out for our safety.
The other complaint I hear about is the city is making a money grab. If Cedar Rapids can make money off those who break the law (the last time I checked, running red lights and speeding are against the law), then go for it.
