Multiple risks with nuclear plant
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Mar. 23, 2012 12:09 am
If the state nuclear energy bill is passed, even with the amendments that supposedly “improve” the bill, it still will be a privatization of profits and socialization of risk. And the risk is not only financial, but also environmental.
If all this money is put into the nuclear plant, there will be no money to support renewable, sustainable energy.
Please contact your legislator and ask him/her to vote no on this bill. Most Iowans oppose it and we should not let it happen.
