Much to protest about Obama’s presidency
The Gazette Opinion Staff

Where are the liberal protesters? When George Bush was president, every day I drove past people with signs at major intersections throughout the city protesting the Iraq war, gas prices, unemployment rate, federal deficit - you name it.
Fast forward to Barack Obama - still in Iraq, but now we add Libya. Gas prices are double, unemployment is more than double and the federal deficit is quadruple what it was when Obama took office.
Either all you protesters are too incapacitated to protest now, or you are hypocrites. And if Obama is still “cleaning up the Bush mess,” please - leave it alone. I, for one, would be thankful to have the “mess” back! And don't blame Bush for everything - who was in control of the Congress and Senate for most of his term?
One more thing - did you know Obamacare allocated $2 billion to subsidize (early retirees') health care plans for Verizon, AT&T, GE (who did not pay any U.S. income tax last year), GM and other unions and companies who donate to the Democratic Party?
In the meantime, my co-pay doubled, benefits dropped and premiums rose. I think it's criminal for the Democrats to hand out favors of this magnitude to supporters with taxpayer money without our getting any say in the matter.
