Move the speed limit signs

The Cedar Rapids City Council should fix the speed camera issues immediately.
Keep the speed cameras right where they are, if indeed it is 'for safety.” Get permission to move the speed limit signs 400 more feet away from the cameras so that the speed cameras are in compliance with the law. The speed limit signs are on a post and can be moved easily and would cost a lot less than moving all of the camera equipment.
Refund tickets since the ruling was issued because it is the right thing to do. Cedar Rapids 'broke the law” by not correcting this issue in February. Why wait for a big lawsuit that will reflect badly on the entire city and cost so much money? Don't drag your feet City Council and give relief to your residents and refund the money in a positive way.
Move the speed limit signs, not the cameras. Then move on to more pressing matters.
