Morris family grateful for acts of kindness
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Jan. 29, 2013 11:44 am
With the New Year under way, we, Taylor Morris, Danielle Kelly, the families and friends of Taylor, pause to reflect on happenings since May 3, 2012, when Taylor (an EOD specialist) received extensive injuries from an IED while serving in Afghanistan.
Throughout his journey to recovery at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, untold expressions and acts of kindness from across the state have blessed Taylor, his family and friends. All have been significant in Taylor's recovery and we thank you for whatever role you may have played.
It is with optimism that we look ahead to this year. We continue to realize the importance the support of others can be, along with each day of hard work in PT and OT, will bring Taylor closer to his goal of independence.
Thank you, Iowans, for rallying around your wounded warrior native son, Taylor Morris of Cedar Falls.
Alvira Morris
Taylor's grandmother
