Brittania Morey has given four years of service to the Linn-Mar School Board serving as President for two of those years. In that time she initiated and led the board to establish a thorough Strategic Plan. She advocated for the addition of, and served as legislative liaison to monitor bills that impact schools, an important mode of communication as our state legislature becomes more involved in school control. She has the experience and understanding of abiding by law in all school policies and procedures.
Brittania believes education is the foundation for community growth. She is committed to making sure every student finds the school setting safe and inspires the students to learn, grow and gain a passion for learning. She has advocated for additional counselors who promote positive behaviors through a Character Strong program. She has advocated for additional staff to assist in the work done to alleviate the achievement gap due to the pandemic. Recent data suggest the gap has been breached and achievement levels up and in some cases are higher than pre pandemic levels.
Brittania finds that communication is vital to her role as school board member and President and provides transparent summaries of all board meetings to the community on her board Facebook page. She keeps lines of communication to her directly open.
Brittania’s commitment to the Linn-Mar community is unquestionable. If you want your vote to truly stand for experience and commitment, vote for Brittania Morey for Linn-Mar School Board.
