Mockery of ‘Last Supper’ drives focus, viewers away from Olympics

By now everyone has heard, read or seen pictures of the opening ceremonies of the Olympics in Paris, perhaps the most beautiful city in the world. The Eiffel Tower for the background was breathtaking. However the majesty of the ceremonies was overshadowed by the caricature and depiction of Leonardo da Vinci's famous painting, The Last Supper. This event painted by da Vinci points to one of the greatest events in Christian history and this mockery for the world to see deeply saddened us.
The many Olympians have worked so hard to reach the pinnacle of their sport and perhaps careers is so unfair that the most talked about event is this part of the ceremony and not their accomplishments. And even though it will not make any difference at all, we will not be watching even one minute of the Olympics.
