Minority should not rule Iowa

Our Iowa GOP-dominated legislature recently passed the school voucher program that the vast majority of Iowa voters did not want. The polls verified that, so the minority overruled the majority. Then Gov. Kim Reynolds called a special session of the GOP legislative body to pass some kind of “heartbeat” bill to reinforce her standing with the evangelicals. Every poll that I have read says the majority of voters oppose such a bill.
So why not put this whole thing to rest by putting the issue of pro-choice on the ballot for the next general election? Thus provide an opportunity for the majority to be heard. Iowa voters should not be ruled by the minority again!
