Miller-Meeks’ rare town hall was disappointing

After three years, I was pleased that Congresswoman Miller-Meeks finally held a town hall session in Johnson County. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a disappointing event in which her rambling answers took up most of the hour so that only five or six of her constituents were able to ask questions. (I really didn’t need to hear about salmon on the Snake River or peanut butter in my refrigerator.) Her answers were equally disappointing and contained several falsehoods including: the previous ban on assault weapons did not reduce murders; natural gas does not produce pollution; and electric vehicles “don’t work everywhere.” I didn’t expect to agree with all of the Congresswoman’s policies, but I did expect truthful statements.
