Dave Loebsack has helped to improve availability of affordable health care for more Iowans. Marianette Miller-Meeks is working to protect the high cost health care status quo.
Loebsack now has a significant list of accomplishments in his two terms in the U.S. House of Representatives. He has supported the new health care bill that expands availability of affordable health care insurance and is now supporting tax incentives to small business, which all contribute to rebuilding this country's ailing business environment, starting at its small business base.
Private citizen and physician Marianette Miller-Meeks achieved her career as a physician sponsored and paid for the U.S. Army and U.S. government. She has had the economic security of her career as a physician in part by working to maintain the highest payments possible to physicians like herself.
Her own and her family's stake is in maintaining the current status quo of high cost of health care and high cost health insurance. As a veteran entitled to lifelong veteran's health benefits, she has no experience with the growing health care concerns of so many of us who worry about how to get the health care we need without affordable health insurance.
She has neither experience nor specifics on how she is going to improve the health or employment situation of a growing number of Iowans.
