Miller-Meeks is impeding progress on COVID

I’ve documented four times that U.S. Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks conducted a misinformation campaign about the deadly COVID virus.
During her recent interview on Iowa Press she falsely stated the reinfection rate was 47 percent among those fully vaccinated. The reinfection rate is only 0.08 or eight tenths of 1 percent.
She appeared on Fox News criticizing the COVID rapid home test claiming it’s not 100 percent accurate. All of the rapid tests are not as accurate as the PCR test, also known as the “definitive test" (nasal swab). As a physician, she should know that.
But, the home test is beneficial because we can self-quarantine if we get a positive result until we can get the definitive test, as per my doctor. Undoubtedly, President Biden is receiving sound medical advice directly from the CDC.
My point is, Miller-Meeks is manipulating the facts. If she’s attempting to interfere with the Biden agenda, she’s instead hurting Iowans.
Additionally, Miller-Meeks recklessly recommended taking hydroxychloroquine after former President Donald Trump recommended it. Trump knows nothing about hydroxychloroquine. Miller-Meeks, who knows the risks, ignored them at our expense.
Miller-Meeks falsely claimed that children don’t transmit the virus. The Gazette Fact Checker team verified that children can in fact transmit the virus.
Our representative isn’t trustworthy in many things, especially COVID.
