Miller-Meeks’ comment is telling about her

I am supporting Dave Loebsack in his re-election bid for 2nd Congressional District. Loebsack is a hard-working and effective representative and also a kind and empathetic individual. Unfortunately, Mariannette Miller-Meeks has none of these attributes. During her last campaign against Loebsack, I happened heard an interview she gave to Iowa Public Radio. I was astonished to hear her say that if a person has type II diabetes, it's their own fault. As someone who has battled that disease for a number of years, I was highly insulted. As a physician, she should know that there is a strong genetic component to type II diabetes. Lifestyle is a factor, but the genetic component seems to be the factor the leads to the disease.

The 2nd District doesn't need to be represented by this woman.
