Miller-Meeks best to replace Loebsack
The Gazette Opinion Staff

We Republicans must decide in the June 8 primary which of our four outstanding candidates to select to replace Professor Dave “Nancy Pelosi servant” Loebsack, who always votes as she directs him to vote regardless of how it effects the 2nd District of Iowa.
I believe the best of the four is Mariannette Miller-Meeks. She worked her way out of the poverty into which she was born to become a registered nurse, physician, ophthalmologist, president of the Iowa Medical Society, lieutenant colonel in the Army Reserves, wife, mother and owner of a small business. She understands where budget cuts need to be made, which government services are essential, which can safely be eliminated, and which tax rate cuts are most likely to stimulate the economy.
She also understands which tort reforms need to be made and how medical savings accounts can help lower medical insurance rates to reasonable levels while allowing reasonable compensation of the victims of medical malpractice.
