Miller has proved he can be trusted

Although I personally like both Joel Miller and James Houser, the question in Tuesday's Democratic primary for Linn County auditor comes down to this: Who do I trust to be the most fiscally watchful of my tax dollars? The answer: The person who has already proven to do that - Joel Miller.
Still today, I am disturbed about what then-Linn County Supervisor Houser requested shortly after the flood. Thousands of us flood victims were homeless, and many even lost jobs and cars. Yet, Houser wanted reimbursement for his increased gas costs for additional mileage because his office was relocated. Nearly all of us flood victims had additional gas costs, but I never heard any asking for compensation.
The true character of a person is revealed during a time of crisis.
Miller thinks of the taxpayers first. He walks the talk when he says he supports transparency, oversight, accountability and wise spending by consistently - and courageously - acting accordingly.
In the last five years, Miller has questioned a long list of mishandled county expenditures. He does exactly what an auditor is supposed to do. We can't risk losing him!
Please vote Tuesday to continue accountability for our county taxes by voting for Miller.
