Military veteran thankful for generosity

On Aug. 12 my wife and I were having an evening meal at a local steakhouse. As we sat at our table enjoying our meal, I noticed the couple at the booth next to us. They both were wearing MIA-POW T-shirts.
They finished their meal and got up to leave. On the way out the gentleman stopped at our table, shook my hand and thanked me for my service. Then they left.
We finished our meal, and when the waiter returned to our table and we requested our check, the waiter told us the couple previously sitting in the next booth had paid our bill. We owed nothing.
What a pleasant surprise! I don't know the name of the couple, but I would still like to thank them for their kindness and generosity.
And, being a Marine, all I can say in closing is 'Semper Fi.”
