Milestones celebrating National Adult Day
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Sep. 24, 2009 12:37 am
National Adult Day Service is this week. The theme this year is “Enriching lives through wellness and creativity.” The Milestones program supports individuals and their caregivers so people can remain in their own homes.
Milestones in Cedar Rapids offers a chance for people with a variety of challenges to come together to share experiences, friendship and ideas.
The community of Milestones embraces life-long learning. The program offers arts and humanities, wellness programs, music, access to computers, gardening and social interaction. In addition, it offers health-related services. The staff and volunteers are caring individuals.
I am a participant at Milestone Adult Day Health Center. We are going to celebrate throughout the week and want the community of Cedar Rapids to know of this great place!
