Meskwaki casino, here I come

I'm extremely disappointed in the rejection by the state gaming commission of a casino in Cedar Rapids. Shame on them for asking Cedar Rapids to apply and then after voters approve and hundreds of thousands of dollars are spent, they reject the application. Seems to me they should have done their impact study before asking Cedar Rapids to apply in the first place.
And shame on Dan Kehl from the Riverside Casino for first attempting to bribe Linn County voters with a water park in exchange for their no vote (isn't it illegal to bribe voters?) and then doing everything in his power to stop a casino in Cedar Rapids.
I will personally be boycotting the casinos in Riverside, Waterloo and Dubuque in favor of Meskwaki at Tama. The Meskwaki casino in only 15 minutes farther than Riverside, has regular bus service, a more guest-friendly environment, and best of all, has a higher payout. Meskwaki, for the most part, wisely sat back quietly and stayed out of the fray, though they probably also thought they would lose some revenue if a casino were built in Cedar Rapids.
Kudos to Mayor Corbett and Steve Gray, who worked so long and hard on this project and all the investors who contributed to it. As disappointed as I am, just as someone who enjoys going to casinos, I can't imagine how they must feel.
Meskwaki, here I come.
