Memorial to draft card burner

To the editor:
Regarding E. Jon Tracy's quote about Stephen L. Smith's burning of his draft card ('Friends recall '65 draft card protest,” Oct. 21).
Did I read correctly that he believes the act should be honored by erecting a statue or plaque? At first I was totally against the idea, but after some thought a statue or plaque might not be a bad idea.
The inscription could read 'coward and traitor” or something like that.
