Memorial Day should be front page every year

Since Memorial Day is the official day to honor those who gave their lives for our freedom, I was anticipating opening my Monday Gazette. What would I see on the front page … perhaps a picture of an American flag that would cover the page? Maybe I could put it on my refrigerator in remembrance!
Instead, there was a picture of the sewer system! Though there were veterans pictured in the paper over the weekend, it was quite a let down to see not even a small flag or article about the importance of Memorial Day on the front page.
Let us always remember those who gave their lives so we could be free!
