Meet Linn-Mar School Board candidates

As a member of the Linn-Mar Coalition for Public Schools, I am happy to invite school district residents to meet the four candidates we are endorsing for Linn-Mar School Board: Barry Buchholz, Justin Foss, Katie Lowe Lancaster, and Brittania Morey.

On Sunday, Sept. 17, all four candidates will be at the Lowe Park Pavilion, 4401 Irish Drive, Marion, from 4 to 6 p.m.

I join in support of Barry, Justin, Katie and Brittania because they will work in the best interest of the entire Linn-Mar public school district. Throughout their time serving on our school board, Barry and Britt have consistently advocated for Linn-Mar teachers and staff, staunchly supported fully funding our schools, and worked tirelessly to ensure all students have a world-class education in an inclusive and rigorous learning environment. This includes advocating for full funding of public schools and for actions that ensure each and every student is safe and secure in our schools. Barry and Britt have proved themselves on the Board.

Rounding out our slate, Katie and Justin will bring new ideas to the board that reflect their deep connections to the district and their backgrounds communicating with all different types of people. They share Britt and Barry's commitment to the strength and success of our public schools and continuing Linn-Mar's tradition of excellence.
