Althea Cole’s article on Iowa being shut down five years ago due to COVID-19 was timely. A good reminder on how fast five years can disappear. In many ways, it seems as though it’s still a part of us.
I anticipated a comment on a subject most people may have forgotten. It was October 2, 2020 and President Trump tested positive for COVID-19.
He was gravely ill. It was thought he wouldn’t make it out of Walter Reed hospital. Doctors gave him two experimental drugs along with emergency medications. As history relates, (unless eradicated), the president did make it, thanks to the medicines and doctors.
It would seem a near death experience would bring a brighter outlook on life. And it appears he is enjoying this side of life for himself, but not so much for others.
