Medians on Williams a waste of money

To the editor:
To what great mind do we owe thanks to the new median strips on Williams Boulevard and 16th Avenue?
Was this necessary to remove old 'all concrete” ones to replace with new brick pavers and plants? They will soon be weed patches and look awful. The street curbs are in worse repair than that median to a Kmart and hotel that no longer exist. Such a waste of money.
Sort of like the flower pots in the streets of downtown. I'm all for beauty, but not before needs.
