May we all live by Leo Greco’s example

In June, we held a fundraiser for Isaac William Oldridge at the Hiawatha Community Center. Isaac was born in July 2009 with HLHS (Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome), an underdeveloped aorta, aortic valve, left ventricle and mitral valve.
A month before the fundraiser, I contacted WMT Radio to see if Leo Greco would announce the fundraiser on his “Variety Time” show. Leo not only announced the event but took the time to call me at the community center to wish us well and he sent a generous donation.
It didn't matter to Leo, now deceased, if he knew you or not. He saw a child in need as he had for many years, with his love for Camp Courageous.
Issac's condition has greatly improved thanks to a series of heart operations and will continue to improve with many more operations in his future.
My prayer is that we all live by Leo's example.
