Marion smoking ban borders on tyranny

To the editor:
I recently read The Gazette's July 31 article 'Marion parks stub out nicotine.” It is a perfect example of the self-righteous majority imposing their values and will on the minority.
I completely uphold the ban in restaurants and bars, but this borders on tyranny with no real benefits to the non-smoker, but as Mike Carolan, Marion Parks and Recreation director, says 'you're always going to have that.”
