Marion mayor is an honest public servant

Regarding the Feb. 2 letter, “Marion mayor shows residents their results”: I disagree with the writer on what Marion residents should see.
What they should see is a mayor who is a down-to-earth, honest public servant, not a politician. They got a concerned small-business man turned public servant because he saw a need in Marion and filled it. The future looks more promising with this transparent public servant.
