Marion creek bridge needs improvements

Congratulations to the “engineers” who designed and built the 29th Avenue bridge in Marion. It is a nice-looking bridge and passes the water along under it just fine.
The approach to the bridge, however, is another story. They have managed to build a very efficient earthen dam. This won't be a surprise to the neighbors on 28th Avenue, however, because we've been discussing the “dam” all summer long. We're not sure why the city of Marion couldn't see that.
Attention needs to be given to Lake Indian Creek soon, because that orange plastic fence surrounding it will not keep kids out if they want to get in. C'mon people, there needs to be a tall chain-link fence around the “lake” and there should have been culverts installed in the approach to the bridge.
