It is my pleasure to support Tamara Marcus in the District 3 race for Cedar Rapids City Council. I am happy to be working on the campaign of a young woman who has chosen to return to her community to make a difference. Tamara is an exceedingly bright young woman who will bring a fresh and new perspective to City Council. She also brings the perspective of understanding the county and how it operates to advance better relations between the city and the county.
The ongoing friction that has existed could be greatly reduced with Tamara on Council — something that would be welcomed by many. Certainly people with past and very long experience on council will still be there and Tamara brings a young perspective that we need as we strive to get young people to return to Cedar Rapids. Tamara’s ability to engage in challenging discussions and her ability to listen carefully will be a welcome addition to City Council and to the constituents in her district. I strongly urge you to cast your vote for Tamara Marcus on Nov. 2 for City Council District 3.
