Many things besides guns can kill people

It seems to me that people don't know enough about guns. Guns do not kill or injure people, people do.
If you really want to get rid of all things that can kill. then we are in real trouble: knives, hammers, cars, bombs, stones, axes, and on and on.
Many years ago, America was made by the use of guns and they kept people alive because of them. Besides, a gun can be used as a deterrent, as not all people obey the law of the land.
The League of Women Voters of Iowa needs to wake up.
