Many streets are in need of repairs

In response to Todd Dorman's July 25 column, “Sales tax pitch kicks off”: City Councilman Don Karr comments about the bump on O Avenue, poor baby.
We live on 33rd Avenue SW between J and Bowling streets SW with a large break in the concrete in front of our home. Because the streets department hasn't repaired the street and police will not patrol the street for semis, overloaded trucks and senseless speeding makes our house move and vibrate 24 hours a day. This has gone on for years.
One bump on O Avenue does not compare to years of wear and tear on our home.
