Many people make Honor Flight special

I had the honor and privilege of being part of the Eastern Iowa Honor Flight, number 33, on Sept. 18. This flight was a big success for many reasons.
From President Allen Stekl on down, people are a key component of success. For example:
Bus captain Timon Oujirl kept us informed with interesting stories relative to our visited sites and other trivia about our nation's capital. He knew the city like no one else.
Jean Conner was our wheelchair captain, and announced we were on the 'fun bus.” She loved her job and it showed.
John Cannon, our medical person, kept us hydrated and safe. He was always watching out for our safety.
Timon, Jean, John and many others showed excellence, not as an act, but as real concern for all veterans.
