Many criticize spending but demand big share

At a time in American history, when many permit and even encourage elected representatives to speak from both sides of their mouths with forked tongues, patriots search for that one who will speak the truth.
Is it true that many Americans say, “I hate Congress, but I love my congressman”? While critical of federal spending, they want the biggest chunk of taxpayer money directed their way. Do you know any longtime U.S. senators demanding financial responsibility from one side of their mouths and boasting of being near the top of the leader board in spending taxpayers' money in their state? Is it true that this excessive spending has placed our nation in peril and threatens to reduce our people to a life of serfdom?
The patriot's answer is “yes.”
Should I say, “To hell with patriotism, I want my tax-free government bonds and my Social Security?” The patriot's answer is, “Government bankruptcy kills both.”
The rise of Tea Party II warns us of loss of liberty under a powerful central government. Freedoms have been taken away and existing legislation will take more.
What we do not have is another Patrick Henry, an unusual politician. Listen to his words: “I know not what others may say.” He is the one patriots are looking for - one without a discolored spine whose greed does not smother the truth. He chose liberty. Will we?
