Man who fired gun, not law, is to blame

Regarding the young man who was shot in Florida: Many are blaming the NRA and the “Stand Your Ground” law. It's the individual who shot him who is at fault. Police told him not to pursue the individual, but he did anyway. People should be able to defend themselves, whether at home or elsewhere.
A well-respected sheriff told me that if you shoot someone, even if they are robbing you, you definitely will get sued. The sheriff had to shoot someone in the line of duty and he got sued. That's just not right. The laws favor the criminals. We need the Stand Your Ground law to keep this from happening.
