Make America Ignorant Again

It is past time for voters to make their opinions matter to the various constituents who represent us in Congress and State Legislatures.
DEI, Diversity, Inclusivity and Equality, are not irrelevant. Whether the GOP likes it or not, this population has been diverse since Explorers first entered the continent. From the beginning, people of color were part of the population, entering from the East and from the South. We cannot and should not ignore that history, right down to the details in each state, including Iowa.
Equality of opportunity is part of our heritage, lest we forget. This certainly does not mean that some should be respected or privileged more than others automatically. Yet we are watching funds being cut by an administration that is shrinking the education, the health and also the voice of the people. Schools and teachers are constantly underfunded, health care is being limited with Medicaid cuts, and with the shrinking of vaccination services, by a leader who has no medical or science degree!
In so many ways, we must stand up against the abandonment of experience and training that is being exchanged for force — and cruelty. Taxing our friends and allies with tariffs is certainly not a way to be admired globally! or a way to treat our own people equally!
What happened to our pride in fairness, excellence and the rule of law. We must insist on fresh candidates who will stand up for protecting our historical pride in "DEI."
