Maintain speed limit to avoid accidents

To the editor:
Last week we needed a 10-cent tax increase to fix our roads and bridges. This week we need to increase the speed limit. Are the roads better that fast?
It takes more gas to drive faster and wrecks will be worse. Then our auto insurance will go up in price. We have seen many pileups out east this winter. Next winter it could be Iowa!
