Main Amana inn wins points with visitors
May. 9, 2010 12:19 am
Recently, United Life Insurance Company of Cedar Rapids hosted a group of independent agents for two days of company training in the home office. Since these agents come from as far away as Colorado and Texas, we like to have them visit the Amana Colonies.
For several of these meetings, we have used the Colony Inn Restaurant in Main Amana. It has always been a big hit with our agents.
When I received the bill, it seemed reasonable for the number of people served. I paid for it with a credit card.
To my surprise, I received a note several days later from the Colony Inn notifying me that an error had been discovered in my bill. We were overcharged by approximately 20 percent, and the restaurant informed me that my card would be credited the difference.
Not only was the food and service great but the honesty was outstanding. We wish the Colony Inn the best and look forward to using them again.
