Lyness is best choice for county attorney

I've read many of the articles on the Johnson County Attorney race and the challenger, John Zimmerman. He seems to have a unique background that would give him an interesting perspective as an attorney.
But it also seems to me that his supporters will be asking a lot from him. They'll be asking him to practice law for the first time in a courtroom representing the county at large and to be the legal voice for the county on contracts, liability and existing case law. He'll be asked to manage employees, including experienced attorneys, and the large budget it takes to run a county office.
I'm not sure why voters in Johnson County would look past the excellent county attorney we have. I'll vote for Janet Lyness because I want my county attorney's legal experience to be thicker than a text book and wider than a lecture hall. I've known Lyness since she was first elected and she executes her duties with intelligence, common sense and an understanding of the law molded from decades of experience.
I hope Zimmerman finds success as an attorney and builds a long career spent helping others, but the best choice for our county attorney is Lyness.
