Lower delivery costs for residents affected by 1st Avenue HyVee closure

The closing of the first Avenue HyVee is causing a significant problem for folks who live in the surrounding neighborhoods. In the May 10 Gazette it was suggested that those folks go to HyVee Aisles Online. The delivery service charges are $9.95 with a minimum purchase of $24.95. That's not easy for everyone.
As stated in the article, many folks in the surrounding area have low income as defined by the US Department of Agriculture. That means that many folks are often on foot and or may find it hard to get gas money if they have a vehicle.
I want to suggest that our community reach out to HyVee’s corporate office and make the request to lower the cost of food delivery through Aisles Online and lower the minimum purchase requirement for a 2 mile radius around that store. I was told that the team at Customer Care will compile comments and feedback and refer it to the decision-makers at Hy-Vee to be considered. Any decisions regarding lowering the fees for Aisles online for folks would be made by those individuals.
Can we do this for our neighbors? Let's make an effort to help each other.
