To the editor:
On school board election day, one of my votes for the Iowa City Community School District school board will be cast for Lori Roetlin.
I have known her for about 10 years and have worked with her on several projects. She has been prepared and ready to tackle projects and provided good leadership. When it came time for the districting meetings, she attended many and always provided information to those of us who couldn't attend. When we disagreed with her assessments, she listened to what we said respectfully. But foremost in her mind was the question 'What is best for the students?” I believe that she will put students first in her decision-making. I believe she has the ability and desire to listen to all members of our district. I hope others will come to know her and will give her one of their votes. I think she has what it takes to be a dedicated and informed school board member.
