Look to the future when choosing elected officials

Why does Iowa and the USA keep looking backward for our elected officials? They obviously have not fulfilled their duties. We have many individuals that can be considered. Why must we all think looking back on Biden, Trump, Reynolds, Ernst, Hinson, etc. is the right choice? I am not basing this letter on my political affiliation, as I will vote for the persons I feel are fit to serve us. Come on everyone, wake up! There has to be a time where we can all come together here. It is scary that so many people keep reverting to the past and not looking at the future, I'm just saying …
