Look beyond truthiness of TV personalities

The man from Marion who so cleverly employed the old MasterCard commercial in a recent letter should really try to get information from some place other than Fox news.
An article at http://mediamatters.org/
research/200901270012 explains that Sean Hannity repeated a false calculation of the jobs creation cost circulated by the GOP. If you take the stimulus funds and divide them by the number of jobs created then, yes, that figure is about $217,000 (half of what letter writer asserted) but this doesn't take into account other tangible benefits stemming from the package, such as infrastructure improvements and education, health, and public safety investments.
“Truthiness” - an opinion of what is true, unencumbered by the facts.
