Loebsack ignores dark side of health bill

Rep. Dave Loebsack (March 20 guest column) painted himself as a hero for supporting the health care reform bill, but unabashedly admits no concern over House rules or the Constitution. Like many dictators, he claims the ends justifies the means. He ignored the following:
1. The cost of this bill will possibly destroy our economy, our currency, and do irreparable damage to medical care.
2. The cost is more than the Congressional Budget Office figures since the doctor fix is omitted and monies have been counted twice.
3. Even Democrats admit that premiums will rise.
4. We will be taxed immediately for 10 years to support six years of benefits that begin four years from now.
5. More than 150 new bureaucracies will be created to enforce the unconstitutional mandatory purchase of health insurance. Fines and prison are possible.
6. The majority of American people oppose the Senate bill and up to 40 percent of primary care physicians threaten to leave their profession.
7. Medical devices such as prosthetics will be taxed.
8. Loebsack makes no mention of the corruption and bribes that took place behind closed doors.
9. Rationing is inevitable. You cannot add
30 million more people without increasing medical resources.
10. $500 million will be taken from Medicare. Some Social Security taxes will be diverted to this new program.
11. Taxes and fees will skyrocket.
Loebsack sold his soul for a disastrous socialistic health plan. Come November ... .
