Lions Clubs donations go directly to those in need

The June 1 Gazette editorial, “Know where your donation goes,” touches on a topic that has become a concern to more and more people as reports of disasters from earthquakes and severe weather seem to be on our television sets on a daily basis.
I have heard many people say that they are moved to give to people suffering from these disasters but want to know that their gift will get to the people in need. It seems like charitable groups come out of the woodwork when disasters occur.
People should know that if they give to the Lions Clubs International Foundation, every penny of their donation will go directly to helping the people in need. There are no administrative costs eating into their gift as an endowment covers all expenses.
The grants from LCIF are distributed by Lions Clubs members on the ground in the country where the disaster has occurred. There are Lions Clubs in 206 countries and geographic territories, so there are few places in this world where your donation won't be received.
to learn more, do a web search for LCI and you can see for yourself.
