Linn health picture isn’t that bad

According to Harold Hensel's July 27 letter, more than 40 percent of Linn County residents suffer from chronic respiratory, cardiovascular disease or diabetes. If you are a healthy county resident, you had better leave because you may not be healthy much longer.
Some folks think tossing large numbers impresses people; in many cases it does. All the more reason to be sure these numbers are correct. I don't think that Linn County health is that bad. But if it is, you've got more than a flood-recovery program problem.
