Linn County supervisors don’t need pay increase
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Feb. 19, 2013 11:34 am
I am firmly against increasing the pay for Linn County supervisors. I feel that they are more than adequately paid at their current rate and that rate is far above the median pay in the county.
These jobs are normally described as “public service” jobs; they are not meant to enrich the office holders. If they feel they are worth more, then please explore a job in the private sector. However, they will not find many positions that can result in a pay raise of 25 percent, and who among us receives a 25 percent increase?
Tell them no, we will not stand for it.
