Linn County didn’t meet its obligation

To the editor:
Once again Sept. 1 passed by without all tax statements delivered. Two years in a row this has happened. Surrounding counties get the job done, why not Linn County?
It appears as if the right hand doesn't know what the left does. Top county administration can pass the buck all they want, but it is their job and responsibility to make sure the statements are timely.
Come on, people. You know how many parcels you have. I'm assuming they are computer generated. What's so hard about a tab line total of printed and mailed?
If we're in a ballgame, bottom of the ninth, count 3 and 2, winning runs on base and you strike out, game's over. Next year would be strike three. If that happens, you all need to go home and we'll get a new team.
