Limbaugh should accept consequences of speech
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Oct. 29, 2009 12:25 am
Rush Limbaugh is whining that those mean liberals prevented him from purchasing the St. Louis Rams.
I've always cherished freedom of speech, even if that means we have to put up with Limbaugh's voice of distortion, but free speech comes with a cost - it always has. Limbaugh's years of spewing bile, hatred and lies have caught up with him.
Now, like a man, he should accept the fallout. He should tell his listeners: “I've been knocked down, but I'm picking myself up and moving on. Sometimes that's what free speech is all about, people.”
