Letters: Keep a close eye on Trump’s decisions

As our president nominates people to his cabinet, there seems to be a recurring theme: Whoever is the worst possible person for the job becomes his first choice.
My favorite is Rick Perry for Department of Energy. Not only did Perry want to eliminate the Department of Energy when he was campaigning for president, he also, famously, couldn't remember it when he was talking about the three departments that he wanted to eliminate during a debate in 2012.
I could go on and on about nominating Scott Pruitt, a friend of Exxon/Mobil to head the EPA, or the nomination of Jeff Sessions as attorney general, but I have limited space here. So let me just say this:
To all of you who voted for the president, I hope you keep a close eye on what is happening. We are headed toward nothing short of a nightmare. What they are doing will devastate human rights and the environment. It will speed up the decline of the middle class and it will continue to make the rich richer and the rest of us poorer.
You have been bamboozled and I hope you keep a close eye on things as they progress. They will not be moving in a direction that is good for anyone you know, or the earth itself, and I hope you will use your vote more wisely next time.
