Letter: Wrong to celebrate end of Obamacare

Nothing illustrates the rot currently infecting the Republican party more than the glitzy New Year's Eve bash at Donald Trump's Florida mansion where Trump lined his own pockets charging his ‘guests' $500 a head. Men in tuxedos and women in glittering gowns dined on tenderloin steak and champagne and listened to a Trump speech. And when he promised to kill Obamacare, bejeweled hands clapped with glee.
They were ecstatic that millions of poor people would no longer have access to health care and thousands could die. From somewhere in the crowd you could almost hear, 'Then let them die and decrease the surplus population.”
