Letter: Work together to make life better
John Carver
Nov. 8, 2016 12:00 am
A recent 2016 study barely lists the United States as a participant in the World's Top 30 Countries in which to live.
Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Australia and Iceland stand at the top. The United States ranks 24th between United Arab Emirates and Italy. Categories like education, jobs, work/life balance, civic engagement and health to name a few make the positive rankings.
There may be reasons (or excuses) for the poor showing. It's not that we need to be the best in everything, but at the very least we can and should do better. Time for everyone to get to work.
