Letter: We are a nation built on compromise

Dale Kueter's Nov. 12 letter 'Country in need of civility, moderation”, is profound and succinctly how I feel.
The ‘polemics' of pushing people further apart has created a mob mentality with no moderation in the middle, as a choice even though felt.
Robert Graves wrote, 'Every vote cast is cast away, every choice is the wrong choice, for how can truth hover between alternatives”.
We as homo sapiens are not civilized: warring, genocide, infanticide, homicide, suicide; vectors to pseudo gratification of a short life span.
The hate, greed and jealousy is reborn with indoctrination of each new baby being taught by culture, faith, parents, peers, TV, social media, to be on the
right or left not what this nation was conceived on - compromise. Let us mentor to recolonize and develop a multi political party government.
Sometimes conservative left, middle of the road, not always radical right. Man is evolving, embrace the good, positive, civility.
